The Greatest Love Ever Shown? [Final Test]

When someone is willfully in the grips and bondage of error...they will refuse to read the clear evidence. They want a certain conclusion and will accept nothing but that conclusion...no matter what.

All I ask is for you to compare the following loves...and see which one involved greater self sacrifice and self denial...and finally which one was indeed the Greatest love ever shown.

The J.W's say that Jehovah created a being, that he had existed without for all eternity, and sent this being to suffer and die for the sins of mankind. God himself didn't personally suffer, the creature that he made suffered. God may have had warm feelings for this creature, but he had shown from all eternity past that he could get along just fine without this creature.

Stop and ask yourself...why is this the Greatest love ever shown? Now compare this "so called" love to the Biblical example of love.

The teaching of the Trinity, although very mysterious, is the foundation for the true meaning of love.

God is love...therefore God must be Triune. There is One God, and this God has existed for all eternity in a mysterious community [Father, Son, and Holy Spirit]

For all eternity this God lived in a harmonious, unbroken relationship of perfect love. Each person perfectly living for the good and well being of the others. Each seeking to honor and edify the others. Each inseparably joined to the others in a mysterious community of love.

In this teaching, God the Father and God the Son had existed forever together...their love for each other knew no beginning and would know no end. Because of mankinds sin, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit decided to forgive rebels and free them from sins clutches...

...but to do so would involve infinite sacrifice and self denial...it would involve the Greatest love ever shown!

God the Father decided to send His only Son [the Son He had inseparably spent eternity past with], and the eternal Son voluntarily decided to come to earth, become a man, and to suffer and die for His peoples sins.

In the Bibles teachings Jesus Christ is truly God...therefore when He decided to come to suffer and die...God Himself was deciding to sacrifice self, to deny self, for the well being of others [rebellious mankind].

When God the Father poured His wrath upon Jesus on the cross...He wasn't merely pouring His wrath upon some creature that He could live with or without...He was punishing His dear Son, His Son who had done no wrong, His Son that He had spent eternity with.

Over the years I have spoken with many Jehovah's Witnesses...they say they come to my door bringing the "gospel"...which means "good news".

In the course of our conversation I usually tell them that they are going to have to bring me better news then what I am hearing from them...

The Bible's teaching on God forgiving sinners is truly good news...and it is the Greatest Love Ever Shown!
